Pools

WLOA POOLS RULES AND HOURS AMIDST COVID 19
 

This facility is for the residents of Willamette Landing and cannot be reserved for private functions (i.e. parties). Willamette Landing Owners Association (WLOA) has the right to limit access to the pool(s) to anyone who does not follow these rules:
COVID-19 ASSOCIATED RULES
1.    All persons enter the pool deck and swim at their own risk. WLOA does not assume any responsibility for accident, injury or illness associated with the use of WLOA pools. There is no lifeguard on duty.
2.    The pool is open by reservation only and will have a maximum capacity and set hours (see wloa.org for further details).
3.    Residents and their family group must show a key card to check in.
4.    Pool use is for WLOA residents and their family members (family group).
5.    Residents shall not let ANY other resident or other family group in.
6.    Residents and/or their family group shall not enter if:
a.    Anyone in your family group has a new or worsening cough.
b.    Anyone in your family group has a fever.
c.     Anyone in your family group has shortness of breath
d.    Anyone in your family group has been in close contact with anyone with these symptoms or anyone else who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the past 14 days.
7.    Residents or anyone in their family group who are at higher risk of COVID-19 complications (those persons over age 60 or with underlying medical conditions) are encouraged to stay home to reduce their risk of exposure.
8.    Residents are encouraged to use hand sanitizer prior once they enter the pool area, before they leave the pool area, and prior to showering.
9.    Residents MUST maintain a physical distance of six (6) feet between family groups – on and off the deck.
10.  Residents and their family group (above 2 years of age) are encouraged to wear face coverings when it is difficult to maintain 6 feet distance between family groups (e.g. entering and exiting pool area).
11.  No face masks are allowed in the pool. 
12.  Members should arrive and depart with their proper swimwear on. The restrooms are NOT available for changing.
13.  Limit restroom use to one person at a time, unless needed to assist a family member.
14.  No parties, picnics, lunches, dinners allowed. Residents may bring snacks that are easy to clean up (snacks in packages… no cupcakes, cake, ice cream, etc.).
15.  Residents and their family group shall not share pool toys outside their family group.
16.  Residents shall take all belongings with them when they leave. There will be NO Lost and Found tub. All items remaining shall be properly disposed of.
17.  Residents are encouraged to bring their own hand sanitizer (minimum of 60% alcohol base), chairs, and water bottles. The water fountain will not be available for use.
REGULAR POOL RULES
1.    Children under 14 years of age must be accompanied and supervised by a resident/member adult 18 years or older. Pool Monitors reserve the right to restrict admittance to an unaccompanied child.
2.    There must be one adult for every 4 children under 14 years of age. Groups of 6 or more youth (14 to 17 years old) must be supervised by an adult. 
3.    Strollers and wagons must be stored against the pool fence (preferably outside), out of the pool deck walkway.
4.    No alcohol or drugs are allowed, nor shall any persons under the influence of alcohol or drugs be permitted on the premises.
5.    No smoking or vaping.
6.    Proper swim attire must be worn at all times. Skinny-dipping is prohibited.
7.    Glass containers, skateboards, bicycles, rollerblades, and pets (except for service animals) are prohibited on the pool deck.
8.    No person with an infectious or communicable disease may use the pool. Open wounds must be covered with a water-proof bandage. Do not use the pool if you’ve had diarrhea in the past two weeks.
9.    All persons must shower each time before entering either pool.
10.  Incontinent persons must wear a swim diaper. A resident may be assessed damages attributable to an accident.
11.  Immediately report pool contamination involving any bodily fluids to the Pool Monitor and/or WLOA office. If an incident occurs when the Office Administrator or Pool Monitor is not available call 541-286-5420. Pool contamination may result in pool closure for a minimum of 24 hours.
12.  Disorderly conduct, profanity, or any other offensive behavior will not be tolerated.
13.  Running, pushing, diving, and any type of horseplay is prohibited on the deck and in the pool. Rough-house play in the small pool is prohibited as this pool is primarily used by babies and young children.
14.  Unless used with personal earphones, all audio devices are prohibited.
15.  Except for the bathrooms, bathing suits are prohibited in the Clubhouse.
16.  Only small one-person flotation devices, pool balls, or toys are permitted. No glitter items.
17.  No littering. Clean up any spilled food or drink; dispose of all trash in appropriate garbage cans.
